The owner of this sought after event space was seeking change in the reception courtyard. It functioned primarily as a wedding reception space, where guests spent a majority of their time. The blacktop hardscape and adjacent dilapidated storage shed created major challenges for brides and planners. My goal was to develop a concept that maximized marketable event space and created a cohesive, elevated guest experience.

In addition to proposing a completely new hardscape design, I redesigned the storage shed as its own independent space. Because the venue was short on restrooms, I modeled the space into a european style conservatory and hid 4 restrooms within the structure for guest use.
